Reaching 100 subscribers on Substack feels great. It’s a little milestone that fills me with pride and gratitude. Thank you for being a part of it.
This journey started as a way to share stories, experiences, and the essence of Italy—one sip at a time—with fellow enthusiasts who appreciate the culture, history, and charm of this beautiful country.
Each subscriber is a part of this growing community, and your support has turned this passion project into a space where Italian culture comes alive through every newsletter. I am grateful to all of you who have joined, commented, and shared this journey with me.
Here’s to more Italian tales, delicious sips, and the shared joy of exploring the nuances of Italy together. Thank you for being a part of this adventure—cheers to many more milestones ahead!
🍷🇮🇹 Oops, meant ☕️ 🇮🇹
Thank you, to you the readers and the people around me who make it possible, in particular:
- Francine, who introduced me to Substack, encouraged my writing, and shared many valuable writing tricks.
- Loretta, my editor-in-chief, without whose blessing I wouldn’t post a single letter.
- And finally, my girlfriend Emanuela, who listens to my initial ideas at their brewing stage. She reads my first drafts and, like a good Italian, is very blunt and straightforward with her comments. She is full of resources; when I told her, I was looking for a project, perhaps photography or writing, she suggested the most Italian thing of all. "What would that be?" I asked. "The Bar, the coffee bar," she said. And that’s how it started.
Arrivederci until next Saturday—always observing, always sharing, always sipping, always a tale from an Italian coffee bar and beyond.
Grazie mille
