Oh how I wish I had known about the Pinocchio Museum in Colle when we were there picking up our key. I love the story of Pinocchio, and when we were in Civitavecchia some years ago I bought one for our first born UK granddaughter and of course one for me. That muffin sounded delicious, it is not something I usually partake of, but one can imagine. I love your photos and your post has brought back happy memories of our times in Italy. Ciao goditi il tuo caffe

Wow Tino. Your stories continue tu be inspiring. I used to love that story as a kid and your story inspires me to look up this book once again. I also recall a Wall Disney rendition of that story which I would love to see again. I don’t remember you telling me about your adopted town being the birthplace of Pinocchio but you manages to instigate my curiosity.

I may therefore have to do another trip to see you. Love it!

An ambitious story, Tino, about a surprisingly complex subject. As you allude, Pinocchio may appear to be a ‘lite’ fairy tale but it is a deep, psychological study of birth, morality and redemption. You’ve done a great job of piquing the reader’s interest and describing how ubiquitous the character is to Italian folklore and culture. Bravo!

And thank you for the shoutout. 🙈
