Another entertaining and informative piece. Analyzing the Italian way of life will enable you to adopt it fully—as you aim to do. (Just don’t take up smoking!)
Lol. You telling the doctor what he should be doing … I have to say I am often amazed that people say to me , but you look so good and you are 80!! I’m not sure what I am doing, I love my couple or three glasses of wine most nights, but I do watch what I eat. Out for lunch the last couple of days so something extremely light for dinner, if I wasn’t married I would probably just have had a couple of dry biscuits and cheese. So tonight a vegetable medley from leftovers. I’ve stopped eating chocolate and icecream, rarely a biscuit or cake would pass my lips, but I’m making the Italian Almond and Pear cake again this week as other neighbours are coming over for afternoon tea, soooo I may have to have at least one piece, with cream, which reminds me I had better put that in the shopping list for tomorrow lol….done!
You are a very young 80. It’s all that good living. Keep it up Sally. We of Substack community love you. His your white wine from NZ or Australia. One of my favourites was Cloudy Bay from NZ. It was available in Canada but can’t find it here in Italy. Cheers
Nous sommes loin du style de vie que l’on peut observer en Amérique.
Très bon texte Tino.
L’Italie fut un de mes plus beau voyage, merci pour ce texte me rappelant trois semaines extraordinaires 🙏
