Ton titre aurait du être : Venice with a Hemingway wink and a good martini.

Hello Tino... it's Jan here. Great to read your personal take and adventures in Italy. It certainly sounds like a great place. I'm always conflicted ... France or Italy.. maybe both haha!

I'm a fan of a good martini. I'm not sure about the correctness of a proper martini these days because the drink has morphed so much it's like caffe... people adding all sorts of personal preferences and insisting the drink is caffe or a martini? No!

I use Citadelle a French gin and Noilly Pratt vermouth. Yes to a lemon twist. Keep the gin in the freezer and add a couple of ice chips to the glass.. pour the gin 1.5 oz.. and use the Vermouth's cap for the vermouth. Swirl with a swizzle stick and enjoy 'salut' !

Looking forward to your weekly missives.. I'm all signed up!

Thank you Jan, so nice to have you on board. We go a long way, my friend, and looking forward sharing some of our stuff together. France vs Italy 🤔 hard choice. Yup why not both. See you soon
