Thank you for crossing the street, Tino. You didn't just walk with Loreano down Via Garibaldi; you brought all of us along to walk right beside him, too. Anyone who reads this will carry a piece of their story from now on.

Very warm and touching story , touching because I lost Barbara my wife seven years ago after a like number of years of Alzheimer’s disease and I often wondered if I was doing everything I could to show her my love and support. When I was told that my actions were admirable, I responded that she would have done the same for me. I meant it then and still do. 50 years and 3 wonderful daughters far outweighs 7 years of difficult times. I still miss Barb!

Sometimes loss feels so unbearable, like it’s impossible to go on without the departed loved one. I wish Loreano fortitude, and hope he has someone to now look after him. 🙏
Wonderful storey Tino, thank you. “La signora non c’e piu” is much more telling of loss than “e morta”. The sadness of that statement, that you no longer have in your life the person that you have loved for so long.
